Starting April 4, 2024, FlyNamibia will operate direct flights between Windhoek and Victoria Falls, offering travelers a convenient new connection between two of Southern Africa’s most iconic destinations. The new service is expected to improve regional air links and make it easier for visitors to experience the region’s unique natural attractions. Passengers can already begin booking their flights.

According to Zimbabwean authorities, the launch of the route reflects the success of the country’s Open Skies Policy and highlights the increasing confidence of international airlines in the Zimbabwean market. Officials also emphasized the importance of aviation in supporting tourism, trade, business travel, and cargo transportation.

The initiative aligns with Zimbabwe’s long-term goal of achieving upper-middle-income status by 2030. It also supports the government’s “Zimbabwe is Open for Business” strategy and complements the African Union’s Agenda 2063, including the development of the Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM).
